The Billy Cart Grand Prix has become a highly anticipated date in the community diary.

Each year over 3,000 people (competitors, family and friends) roll up – rain, hail or shine – to enjoy a day of family fun at the Weet-Bix Billy Cart Grand Prix in Lilydale, Victoria.

There are many events in held on the day. To start off the day there is an opportunity for your team to be judged for best-dressed team award. This event will be judged according to the most creative, outstanding team uniform and billy cart for the day.

The first race of the day is the "One Lap Dash"... a race around the 500 metre circuit. The team with the fastest time determines the winner and the starting position for the Weet-Bix Billy Cart Grand Prix, the main event. The Weet-Bix Billy Cart Grand Prix is a set number of laps around the 500 metre circuit. This is a race against other teams. Each category will have different amount of laps. There are three change-over locations around the track where pushers are expected to change over.

This challenge involves each team to complete three laps of an obstacle course. This event will be running throughout the day. The aim is to complete the course without hitting obstacles or barriers as time penalties will apply.
